IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Training Qualification Program

The International Municipal Signal Administration (IMSA) is the oldest known public safety administration of its kind. IMSA helps assist the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in developing and revising highway standards dealing with traffic signals and control devices. They offer certifications in Traffic Signals, Signs and Markings, Work Zone Traffic Control, Municipal and Interior Fire Alarm Systems, Fiber Optics, and Transportation Center Systems.

IMSA offers several Traffic Signal certifications covering a range of applications from maintenance to design and inspection.

T2 is partnering with IMSA to offer three courses as part of the IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Training Qualification Program:

  • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician I
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Field Technician II
  • IMSA Roadway Lighting Technician I

Fees

Qualification Course with Exam

  • KYTC & Industry - IMSA Member Rate: $550
  • KYTC & Industry - Non-Member Rate: $650

Audit Only

  • Audit Only (Continuing Education Purposes - applies to KYTC only): $125

Fees include:

All materials, refreshments, and lunch. 

NOTE: Payment is required in advance, except employees of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
