Van Driver Program
Safety is top priority in Kentucky, and we believe that by narrowing our focus on driver education to individual groups, we are able to customize information and techniques to better suit specific problems and situations you might encounter while on the road.

The increase in crashes involving 15-passenger vans has received national attention over the past few months.  Drivers of these vans are not required to have commercial driver’s licenses and we see a need to strengthen the skills of these drivers, thereby allowing them to provide a greater degree of safety for themselves, their passengers, and the public.

Through this low-cost, computer-based training program, you will learn common problems encountered when driving 15-passenger vans, and solutions to help avoid or deal with each situation.

This program is a cooperative effort of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Kentucky Finance Cabinet.  Secretary Prather commends you for taking advantage of this opportunity to improve driving habits that could possibly help save a life.

Thank you for remembering to Drive Smart!!
