Nominations Needed ...
Nomination are being accepted now through October 28th for the 2008 Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards.   The awards recognize law enforcement officers and agencies from across the state who have saved lives through their extraordinary efforts to reduce impaired driving.  Presentations will be made at a luncheon on

 

 Thursday, December 4th
 at the Embassy Suites in Lexington
 Registration:  10:30 a.m.   Ceremony:  11:15 a.m. EST

in anticipation of National Drunk and Drugged Driving (3D) Prevention Month in December.   


This program is being presented by Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Office of Highway Safety and the Kentucky Transportation Center, Technology Transfer Program (T2). Nomination forms may be printed and faxed to 859-257-1061 or submitted online by using the links at the top of this page.  All nominations must be received no later than Tuesday, October 28th.    If you do not receive a confirmation by November 3, contact Lauren Curry at lcurry@engr.uky.edu or by calling 800-432-0719, as we may not have received your nomination.

Nominations and meal reservations MUST be received by Tuesday, October 28th!  


How to Submit Your Nomination:

  1. Submit your nomination form Online or by using the printer friendly form and faxing to 859-257-1061.  The deadline for all nominations and meal reservations is Tuesday, October 28th.
  1. Upon receipt of your nomination, you will receive a confirmation by November 3rd.  If you do not receive a confirmation by November 3rd, contact Lauren Curry at the Kentucky Transportation Center at lcurry@engr.uky.edu or 800-432-0719, as we may not have received your nomination.
  1. Individuals and agencies selected for the awards will be contacted by email or phone using the information submitted on the nomination form..

Times:  Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the awards ceremony will follow promptly at 11:15 a.m. EST.

Luncheon Reservations:  Due to reserved seating, there are no seats or meals for additional guests.  The cost of the luncheon is covered by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Transportation Safety and it is intended for law enforcement personnel only.  If you are unable to attend, please notify us a minimum of three (3) business days in advance.  The deadline for meal reservations is October 28th.

Attire:  It is requested that uniforms be worn. 

Accommodations:  Overnight accommodations can be made by calling Embassy Suites at 859-455-5162 or 1-800-EMBASSY.  A block of rooms identified as the "Kentucky Transportation Center Room Block" is available for a rate of $99.00 single/double plus tax until November 13th.  Lodging is the responsibility of the individual.  For information and directions visit Embassy Suites, 1801 Newtown Pike in Lexington, I-75 Exit 115 (Newtown Pike/SR 922) . (Note:  In order to receive the group rate, please contact the hotel by phone at 859-455-5162 and ask for the "Kentucky Transportation Center Room Block.)
